The Book Nook

So I am getting close to finishing the 570 page whopper that is Barbara Walters Audition!  I'll be all set for Stephen King books after finishing this one.

This still proves to be a good read and rather interesting.  Barbara Walters was a pioneer in the television business somewhat paving the way for many more female news anchors and television host/cohosts.  She has done a lot in her life and it is fun to read about where she came from, where she is and the journey it took to get there.  Perhaps it's just my nosiness but I enjoy reading about peoples lives, famous or otherwise.  She is also very candid and open in this book which I really like and is also the reason this book got such a reputation at first!  So far nothings off limits and she talks about everything from the men in her life to her salary at various points in her career.

I would recommend this book...but then again I probably would recommend anything I read since after all I had to have some interest in it to decide to read it in the first place.  This is the first biography I have read, however, and I plan to read many more, I find I like it quite well.  There are autobiographies too of course.  Next up I'm thinking maybe the Kennedy's since I have been reminded just how crazy their life was and the great tragedies that happened.

I have one left from the 3 I checked out and that is a just for fun one, hopefully by next week I've started it!
