Cue the Ark!

So it is currently POURING here (and just about every where else on the east coast)!  Well "pouring" may not even sum it up appropriately.  This would be the remnants of Nicole bearing down on us and it's just grand.

Knowing the small city I live near, it's already underwater downtown.  The city docks flood with a bad thunderstorm.  Getting 3+ inches of rain in 24 hours = no good.  I guess the good thing is since it floods so much they are usually quite prepared!

Anyway I'm so glad I have nowhere to go today because taking 2 kids into the monsoon would not prove to be very much fun.  I do have TONS of baking to do and this is a perfect day for it!  We're doing a little bake sale as a fundraiser on Saturday so keep an eye out over the next couple days for some posts on that.  Pumpkin muffins, banana muffins and chocolate chip cookies...OH MY!
