The No Coreing Apple Method

Just a couple pictures on how to cut the apple in case you din't understand what I wrote before.

First cut down one side, close to the core.
Lay the apple on the flat side (this keeps it from moving around on you) and cut around remaining 3 sides.
When finished place all the chunks in a large pot with about a cup of water.  Let the apples cook, covered, until soft.  Once they are completely done and soft you will be able to just pick out the peels.  Apples basically peel themselves when cooked.
Now I was going to take a picture of the separated peels but life happens.  Between a 3 year old who wouldn't leave me alone and a 7 month old who wouldn't stop screaming I managed to let all the water boil out of the pot and almost ended up burning the apples.  They did end up caramelizing on the bottom but they were salvageable!  They weren't as done as they should have been so the peels didn't detach.

Of course when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.  I still used the very brown apples and just blended everything, peels and all.  Once pureed I just ran it through a strainer and collected the peels.  Problem solved!!
