The kids
Yes it is quite bare right now but I realized when I went to decorate it that all the gorgeous GLASS ornaments I bought super cheap last year are not going to mix very well with a toddler. No worries since this will be remedied soon: I'm going to raid my moms ornament collection and I'm also going to make dough ornaments with my son. For now we have a grand total of maybe 10!
The Husband
He's quite happy now and my mom can finally stop making fun of us for our small tv! It's kind of bad when your mom is making fun of you, usually it's the other way around.
And finally, MINE!!
I've been wanting a bread maker for about a year now (since I discovered that hand making bread is impossible quite difficult!). I had managed to make a couple loaves of edible bread but never had a very good place for it to rise, then it would dry out, and it took about a million hours. Thankfully the DH wasn't mean enough to make me wait until my actual birthday to open it. I finally got to use it today to make pumpernickel bread just in time to eat piping hot with dinner! Oh, this is gonna get dangerous.
The hubby is super jealous of the TV (what size is it?) The bread machine sounds like it will come in handy. You'll have to let me know if you really get use out of it. I'm sure at first it will be on non-stop!
ReplyDeleteIt's a 46" LED tv. He really wanted this one the NEX had on super good Black Friday sale but didn't feel like fighting the crowd. I'm glad he didn't get that one though because it would have been 52" which in this house would have been too big!
ReplyDeleteWe have that TV! Wait, ours might be LCD but whatever, if there is a difference I surely don't know or care.
ReplyDeleteAs for the tree, yeah, we have all shatterproof ones Emily got for me on mad clearance after Cha Cha's first X-mas, but the tree is still naked on the bottom four feet b/c I have long since lost interest in picking them all up! Ah kids, they fill your hearts with love and empty your house of any decorating sense!
@ Alexis
ReplyDeleteApparently LED are the latest and greatest thing in flat panels! They are different then LCD but I'm with you, who really cares!
Also I had a bunch of plastic balls that I gave away after last Christmas because I was tired of the blue/silver scheme. I bought a ton after Christmas last year for like $1.25 a box but didn't have the capacity to think ahead a full year when she would certainly be walking! The bottom 4 feet of our tree will stay empty as well because picking them up gets old real quick and really, do we need another thing to add to our day?
I love that last little sentence, we should print that up big and put it on the fridge as the mothers slogan!
If you look at a LCD and LED side by side you would see a big difference, The LEDs have a much brighter picture.
