Must Be Written In The DNA!

Being that my little girl was a summer baby she almost never had shoes on.  In the winter we would put shoes on her for the sole purpose of keeping her socks on.  Otherwise socks were impossible to keep on despite claims of being "kick proof", "stay put", etc.

As a matter of fact it was only in the past 6 weeks or so that I started putting shoes on her.  Only reason being that she started walking.  I had never bothered because she would curl her toes so much that it was impossible to get a shoe on her and near impossible to get the soft leather shoes on her!  Seriously no one should be able to contort their foot in quite that manner, unless maybe their an alien.

Well all of a sudden she is a shoe fiend!  She has to wear shoes ALL THE TIME!!  If she doesn't have some on she walks over to the shoe shelf, grabs her shoes and throws them in my lap.  If I hand them back she shoves them back in my lap and gives me this look.  She's not happy until I plop her in my lap and feed her obsession.  Really can't say that I blame her, I'd have an entire room turned into a shoe closet if it was practical!

She. Loves. Shoes.  Of course what woman doesn't?  This only goes to prove that, in fact, it is not our fault we females may have a slight weakness when it comes to shoes.  It is not our fault that we may need a small storage unit to house all those beautiful, shiny, strappy things.  After all we do need a pair to go with every outfit don't we?  Or how about those comfy, colorful, lace up versions?  That's where my weakness lies.

A 14 month old couldn't possibly be taught to love shoes so much, clearly we must be born that way!

So where does your weakness lie?  Do you like the athletic or the strappy?  Do you have one pair that you can't bear to part with, even though there 5 years old?  A dream pair?
